As one of the youngest Oxford Colleges, St Peter's takes what is best from the Oxford tradition of excellence in teaching, scholarship and research, while maintaining its own distinctive character. Our compact central site creates a warm and friendly atmosphere, and also gives students easy access to all the facilities of Oxford.
We have a strong commitment to the tutorial system as a key component of an intellectually challenging and supportive undergraduate education. Throughout its history, St Peter's has maintained an atmosphere of openness and inclusiveness, and our admissions policy is to seek out students of the highest academic potential, regardless of their social, geographical or educational background.
I take an individual interest in the progress of each of our current students, and am constantly encouraged by their development through their time here. In addition I have been overwhelmed by the warmth of feeling of old members of the College worldwide. I am proud to hold office in this ambitious and welcoming academic community.
