Janek Schmidt (1999) After a few nomadic years of traveling in South America, studying for a Master's in Paris and working on various short term contracts for different news services and papers throughout Germany, Janek has now returned to his home town of Munich. It feels very good to be back after so many years abroad, and he’s looking forward to the prospect of starting his first fully fledged employment with the daily paper "Süddeutsche Zeitung".
Alexander Graah (1998) and Johannes Graah (2001) have successfully started a jeans brand together, called Dr Denim Jeansmakers. The St Peter's E&M graduates (and brothers) delivered the first 6000 units to retailers in January 2005 and approximately 150 000 units will be sold during 2006.The line is carried by leading high-end retailers across Europe, and a forceful entry into the UK is underway. Louis d’Arcy (1995) spent two years working for Accenture before deciding to leave for a career change. He currently teaches Mathematics at Whitgift School which is in South Croydon where he is a Housemaster and has also just been promoted to Deputy Head of Mathematics.
Gang Li (1994) completed his DPhil at St. Peter's College in 1997 and is now working as a Reader in Musculoskeletal Science at School of Biomedical Sciences, Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland. Dr. Gang Li leads Musculoskeletal Research Team at Queen's University Belfast, and researches on tissue engineering and stem cell biology. Harjeev Kandhari (1993) graduated from St Peter’s in 1996 and worked at Merrill Lynch as an Investment Banker for four years where amongst many transactions he did the first Islamic Satellite financing ever. Harjeev then moved to New Media Spark where he invested in technology and media companies for two years; amongst their investments were Lastminute.com. After Spark he got his MBA at INSEAD in France, graduating in 2002. After France he moved to Dubai to join the Board of the Al Dobowi Group which is one the leading automotive Groups in the region. Harjeev currently looks after a portfolio of fifteen Group companies, which is up from five when he joined in 2002.
Ian DBrewer (1993) moved to the USA following graduation from Oxford to pursue postgraduate education at USC, Los Angeles and was awarded a PhD from PSU in Pennsylvania in 2001. His research focused on understanding the geological evolution of the Himalayan Mountain Belt, with interests in thermochronology, neo-tectonics, and numerical modelling. Having joined Shell International, Ian moved to the Netherlands in 2001, working on regional hydrocarbon exploration. He then moved with Shell to New Zealand in 2003 to work on exploration/production projects within the Taranaki Basin. He is currently looking to move to Portland, Oregon, with his partner, Dr. C. Werner, who has just accepted a volcanologist research position at the United States Geological Survey.

Robin Bradshaw (1991) is working for Cathay Pacific Airways in Rome. He is married to Heidi with one Daughter aged 2 and one on the way, due in December 2006.
Ben Underwood (1991) spent a year working as an Auxiliary nurse in Hinchingbrooke Hospital Huntingdon after leaving St Peter’s. He then went to study medicine at St Bartholomew's and the Royal London School of medicine in London. Graduating in 2000 with distinctions in medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and pathology, he won the Draper's Livery company prize for outstanding academic achievement and the Duckworth Nelson biennial prize for medicine and surgery. He was proximae accesit to the Gold medal of the University of London and did his house jobs at the Royal London Hospital before spending a year doing General Medicine and A and E in Australia. Ben came back to the UK in 2002 and did the Cambridge rotational training scheme in psychiatry, receiving his MRC Psych last year. He is now a Specialist Registrar in general Adult and Old Age psychiatry in Cambridge and his research interests include the molecular genetics of neurodegenerative diseases characterised by intraneuronal proteinaceous inclusions (particularly Huntington's disease). One of the challenges is to find a biomarker which will allow the trial of potential treatments. His most recent paper on this topic was published in the journal Brain last year. Ben also enjoys an active teaching role in Cambridge and his first book, 1500 ISQs for MRCPsych, is due to be published later this year. He has spent the last 11 years with partner Dr Roz Tandy after meeting her at medical school. She is a G.P in a village just outside Cambridge and they have a beautiful daughter (Bronwyn) who is two and a half. Socially Ben enjoys playing in wind bands and is currently the principle euphonium with the Huntingdonshire Concert Band and has just started a tuba choir.
Dr Peter Davis (1991) was appointed Deputy Chairman of the UK Competition Commission on 6th June 2006. He is a lecturer in Economics at LSE and has been a member of the CC's academic panel since 2004. He is also co-director of the Economics of Industry Program at the Suntory Toyota International Centre for Research in Economics at the LSE. He joins the CC in September 2006 to become a member of the CC Council.
Joanna Zonneveld (1990) trained and worked at Lovells in London as a corporate lawyer and is now working as an in house lawyer at Accenture, the IT consultancy and outsourcing company, in London. She has been happily married to Pete for almost 5 years and they live in Kew with their 2 sons, Harry (3) and Charlie (1).
Simon Kinder (1990) has been appointed Assistant Director of Studies at Gresham's School, Holt, Norfolk. He has been conducting research into why so many Gresham's pupils of the 1920s and 1930s became Communist agents - including Donald Maclean, James Klugmann, Cedric Belfrage and (possibly) Bernard Floud. Simon gave a lecture on this topic as part of the 450th anniversary celebrations of Gresham's School in November 2005.
