Course selection
A schedule of Academic Courses, Options & Seminar programmes are offered:
Students are asked to select the Academic Course which they intend to study and then express an order of preference for its various Options (only one Option will be studied). It is normally possible to allocate all students to their first choice Option but your application is made on the understanding that, occasionally, the need to ensure small tutorial groups may make acceptance of a second choice necessary.

Participation is open to all students in good standing with their home university regardless of sex, race, nationality, religion or creed. Students are normally required to have completed their sophomore year with a GPA of at least 3.0 but we are pleased to consider applicants outside these criteria whose academic recommendations make a good case for their participation. Students are encouraged to register for Courses and Options either in or outside their majors and Options can be tailored for graduate applications. The prime requirement for participation are an enthusiasm to study in Oxford and the ability to benefit academically from the Summer School!
Professional Course registration is handled by the appropriate partner graduate schools.
Registration
Application and Registration can be made directly to the Academic Director, Summer Schools, at St Peter’s College by requesting an application form Kenneth.Addison@spc.ox.ac.uk .
Most of our partner universities assist in the selection, application and registration of students and some also manage the transfer of funds to Oxford on their behalf. The professor encouraging your application or your university’s Study Abroad office, International Office, or equivalent will advise you.
Fees
The Fees for the Summer School in 2007 are £3,300 (sterling pounds) to include full board and lodging in St Peter’s and all tuition, organised excursions and field trips. The 4-Day Field Excursion (residential) is an integral part of the Environmental, Urban and Regional Studies course, so you will have to add £300 (sterling pounds) to cover the cost of this course. You will also have to add £300 (sterling pounds) if you do the Medieval Course and decide to go on the 4-Day Field Excursion. This cost is excluded from the English Literature course.
