Jamie was picked in the England A Cricket squad for the spring 2006 tour of the West Indies and has recently played in the second Test against Pakistan, having been one of the few players to impress during a 5-0 NatWest Series defeat by Sri Lanka. He is a genuine off-spinning all-rounder, first making an impression in a Varsity match whilst studying at St Peter’s in 2003, by scoring a double century, becoming only the third man to do so in a Varsity fixture, and followed it up with five first-innings wickets.
Jamie was named in the ECB National Academy Squad for winter 2005-06 and signed a long-term extension to his Middlesex contract, after taking 23 wickets and scoring 721 runs for the club.
