Economics
Overview of Economics
Economics can be studied at Oxford only in combination with Management, History or as part of the Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) course.
Within each of these degrees, students have considerable freedom to choose how many Economics papers they take. There are usually certain required papers, but further papers can be chosen from a wide range of options. The options which vary from one degree programme to another, range from Economic Theory to Econometrics, Economics of Developing Countries, and Economics of the OECD. Because of this wide range, tutorials are often arranged via a system of inter-college exchanges to ensure that the student is taught by a specialist.
