Biological Sciences
The Oxford course in Biological Sciences permits a flexible combination of molecular and whole-organism biology with opportunities to specialise in particular areas. Oxford has large departments of both Plant Sciences and Zoology, with well-equipped, modern laboratories and extensive botanical and zoological collections. The Botanic Garden (the oldest in Europe), the Arboretum and the University Parks also support work on the animal and plant kingdoms. For further details see www.biology.ox.ac.uk.
Teaching at St Peter's
About four students are admitted each year to study Biological Sciences. The College has tutors in both zoology and plant sciences; tuition is also provided by specialists from other colleges. Practical classes are held in the University laboratories. The College contributes to the cost of compulsory field trips.
